This conference is sponsored by the Council for Hospitality Management Education (CHME); CHME is a non-profit making organisation representing universities and colleges offering higher education programmes in the fields of hospitality studies, hospitality management, and related fields. It is CHME's stated purpose to contribute to the professional development and status of hospitality management education, through the sharing of best practice in scholarship and pedagogy.

This conference is the 19th Annual Research Conference organised by CHME.  It is envisaged that the conference will appeal to experienced and new researchers, as well those actively involved in teaching and learning and the development of best practice in curriculum design and delivery.

Submissions from colleagues from universities and colleges outside of the UK are particularly welcomed. The international nature of the Research Conference is a growing feature of the event and organisers are keen to continue the progress made in preceding years.

Contributions are invited to a series of thematic streams. Each theme has an associated journal which will present a best paper award.
